USSR BELORUSSIAN MD Declass Review by NIMA/DOD NATIONAL PHOTOGRAPHIC INTERPRETATION CENTER 25X1 TOP SECRET PREFACE This report is one in a series on Soviet Ground Force and logistic installations being prepared for a DIA/CIA Panel. The series is being coordinated, published and disseminated by NPIC. The photographic analysis is being performed by the NPIC Photographic Analysis Group, the CIA Photographic Intelligence Division (NPIC), and the Production Center 'Pic (DIA). The photographic analysis for this particular re- port was performed by the NPIC Photographic Analysis Group. ' In the interest of uniformity, the titles and letter designators for the facilities observed at these installations are identical with those appearing in the project requirement. When a specific facility is not observed both its title and letter designator are omitted in the report. TOP SECRET C J-1790 i7?eal 25X1 25X1 TOP SECRET SUMMARY The Kobrin Petroleum Storage Area is lo- cated on the northwest edge of Kobrin (52-12N 024-21E), south of the Brest-Pinsk rail line (Figure 1). The installation is served by a spur from the rail line and has all-weather road access to Kobrin. Kobrin Army Barracks Northeast (AL-1) is located 4 kilometers (km) northeast. This secured installation (Figures 2 & 3) covers 30 acres and contains three large vertical POL tanks, five_ medium vertical POL tanks, one small vertical POL tank, six small horizontal tanks, and three support buildings. Within the secured area there are five unidentified circular ground scars in a wooded area southwest of the tanks. This area was covered by KEYHOLE missions Comparative analysis reveals a constant level of usage during this period. No significant changes observed. DESCRIPTION OF INSTALLATION Railroad Service A rail spur from the Brest-Pinsk rail line serves the area. Road Service An all-weather road provides access to Kobrin. POL Storage Area The area contains three vertical tanks 75 feet in diameter, five vertical tanks 45 feet in diameter, one small vertical tank, six small horizontal tanks, az=1 three support buildings. Small-scale photography precludes measure- ment of the small vertical tank and of the small horizontal tanks.
