The site is located 4.5 nn-1 by road from Hsu-thou Airfield Northwest, the smaller of two airfields MUNITIONS STORAGE SITE NEAR HSU-CHOU, CHINA CO(7RDS: 34-14-30N NPIC TARGET NO: COMOR NO: None BE'-NO: None site is located 5 nm south-southwest of Hsu-chou, China (Figure 1). The installation is constructed at the foot of the eastern slope of a low hill and near a reservoir. The site is approximately 2.5 nm from the nearest rail siding and is accessible only by road. An unidentified military unit, housed one NPIC/R- 1490/64 serving the city, and a distance of 7.5 nm from Hsu-chou Airfield Southeast, a military airfield. Storage Buildings. The site contains 11 warehouses and six smaller support buildings (Figure 2). All of the buildings have gable roofs and lack ventilators or other rooftop gear. The storage build- ings measure 75 by 30 feet; the total floorspace of the 11 storage buildings is 24,750 square feet. Security. The site is surrounded by a high wall and is protected by two guard towers on the downslope wall on its WSW side and one tower on each end wall of the site. The upslope wall on the ENE side has no towers but is protected by a tower at the top of the hill near which the 25X1 C . Housing and Administration. In addition to the storage buildings, the site contains six sup- port and 'maintenance buildings.
