1. This memorandum is in response to your requirement dated 17 September
1964 which requests a .search of the Plzen Area, Czechoslovakia for new So-2
SAM sites.

2. Currently, nPIC targets two SA-2 SAM sites at Plzen at the following
coordinates: -
Plzen A21-a 49-36-20N-13-IS---453
Plzen (probable) 49-33-50N 13-41-.501

In addition, an SA-2 SAM site is-targ4ted by DU Production Center as
Plzen 8A.-2 SAM Site B30-2 at 49.-5O.47s 13-03-5016 This site
is targetedon the basis of collateral information only.
A search was sad* for new SAM activity in the Plzen Area, Czechoslovakia
on a,Iailable I I hotograxhy-. This search reveals no new SAM sites or
SAM support facilities within a 25 nautical aile radius of Plzen.
A specific search was made 'to identify and-confirm the SA-2 site reported
from collateral information. Visited and poor quality photographic coverage
does not allow confirmation of this. Bite.
The enclosed table sum arises the photographic coverage and results of
the search.
