:PREFACE
This report is one in a series on Soviet Ground Force and Logistic
iriatallations being prepared for a DIA /CIA Panel. The series is being
coordinated, published and disseminated by NPIC. The photographic
analysis is being performed by the NPIC Photographic Analysis Group,
the CIA Photographic Intelligence Division (NPIC), and the Production
Center 1Plc (1)1A). The photographic analysis for this particular re-
port was performed by the Production Center IPIc.
In the interest of uniformity, the titles and letter designators for
the facilities observed at these installations are identical with those
appearing in the, project requirement. When a specific facility is not
observed b6th its title and letter designator are omitted.in'the report.
Titles and letter designators for the various facilities are as
follows: (A) railroad service, (B) road service, (C) landing strips,
(D) administrative and troop housing areas, (E) storage areas, (F) am.-
munition storage areas, (G) POL storage areas, (H) other buildings and
facilities, (J) equipment storage/n?aintenance areas, (K) athletic fields,
(L) small arms firing ra?ges, _r,'\1) driver training areas, (N) tank/
assault gun firing ranges, (P) flat trajectory firing ranges, (Q) artillery

A new bombing and strafing range is located
approximately 18 kilometers (km) west of Kisl-
yakovskaya, and 17 km southwest of the Kush-
chevskaya Airfield (Figure 1). The range is
probably- associated with the. Kushchevskaya
Airfield. _
The range area contains 28 aircraft and 8
circular silhouettes, a probable moving target

for strafing, and a bombing target. Nobuildings
,or equipment were noted (Figure 2). The exact
size of the ragge catumot be determined.

The range was built sometime between KEY-
HOLE
DESCRIPTIQ\ OF INSTALLATION
Dirt and gravel roads connect to main roads.
An airfield is located at Kushchevskayg, 17--
km northeast..
Area Si contains 28 aircraft silhouettes and
8 small circular silhouettes for bombing or
strafing. -
Area S2 contains a probable moving target
for strafing.
Area S3 is a bombing.farget.
