This report is one in a series on Soviet Ground Force and Logistic
installations being prepared for a DIA/CIA Panel. The series is being
coordinated, published and disseminated by NPIC. The photographic
analysis is being performed by the NPIC Photographic Analysis Group,
the CIA Photographic Intelligence Division (NPIC), and the Production
Center 1Pla (DIA). The photographic analysis for this particular re-
port was performed by the NPIC Photographic Analysis Group.
In the interest of uniformity, the titles and letter designators for
the facilities observed at these installations are identical with those
appearing in the project requirement. When a specific facility is not
observed both its title and letter designator are omitted in the report.
Titles and letter designators for the various facilities are as
follows: (A) railroad service, (B) road service, (C) landing strips,
(D) administrative and troop housing areas, (E) storage areas, (F) am-
munition storage areas, (G) POL storage areas, (H) other buildings and
facilities, (J) equipment storage/maintenance areas, (K) athletic fields,
(L) small arms firing ranges, (M), driver training areas, (N) tank /
assault gun firing ranges, (P) flat tratory firing ranges, (Q) artillery
emplacements (batteries), (R) infantry or combined arms field train-
ing area or courses, (S) special training facilities, (TJ-untdentified
facilities or tracking activity.

The Kegichevka.Ordnance Depot Territor-
ium is located on the southwest edge of Kegichev-
ka (Figure 1), covers approximately 250 acres,
and is comprised of a storage area and a support
area.
The double-secured storage area contains
54 storage buildings,. 4 earth-mounded drive-
through buildings, 8 support buildings, and 2 fuel
storage tanks. The secured support area is adja-
cent to the northeast end of the storage area and
contains a multistory administration building, 3
multistory barracks, 8 probable quarters, 24
support buildings, a fenced motor pool with 2 ve-
hicle sheds, and a secured earth-covered build-
ing (Figures 2 and 3).

The depot is rail served and has a 295-foot
trackside dock and a 130-foot combination side-
and end-loading dock.
A hard-surfaced road from Kegichevka-
serves the depot.
Area D is a support facility for the ordnance
depot and contains a C-shaped multistory admin-
istration building, 3 multistory barracks, 1 water
tower, 24 miscellaneous support buildings, and 8
probable quarters. Three support buildings have
25X1 D been added sinceIALENT coverage.
General Storage Areas
Area El contains 54 storage buildings, 1
heating plant, 1 unidentified vaulted-roof build-
ing, 2 fuel storage tanks (approximately^feet
in diameter) and 6 other buildings. Large open
storage areas are located along the southeast and
southwest fences.
Area E2 contains 4 earth-mounded drive-
through storage buildings. These buildings were
observed under construction on-TALENT
photography and appear complete on

Equipment Storage/Maintenance Area
Area J is a fenced motor pool with 2
vehicle sheds, one 145 by 35 feet, and one
90 by 20 feet.
Area L is a 660- by 30-foot small-arms
firing range.
