The series is being coordinated, published and disseminated by NPIC. The photographic analysis is being performed by the NPIC Photographic Analysis Group, the CIA Photographic Intelligence Division (NPIC), and the Production Center 1Pla (DIA). The photographic analysis for this particular re- port was performed by the NPIC Photographic Analysis Group. In the interest of uniformity, the titles and letter designators for the facilities observed at these installations are identical with those appearing in the project requirement. When a specific facility is not observed both its title and letter designator are omitted in the report. A barracks and bivouac area immediately northeast of the training area provides admin- istrative, billeting and other support. An ex- plosives storage area is located 14 km northeast and is connected by rail to the training area. The training area (Figure 2) covers approxi- mately 11,900 acres and contains 1 tracked- vehicle driver-training area,.7 tank/assault-gun firing ranges, 17 range control/support build- ings, a combined-arms field training area, a possible 6-gun field artillery battery, and a double-secured storage area with 25 storage buildings and approximately 9 support buildings. A rail spur leading into the training area is under construction. A single-track rail line provides access to an explosives storage area, located 14 km northeast of the training area. All-weather secondary roads connect the training area to Krivoy Rog. A barra*s and bivouac area, located im- mediately north, provides support for the train- ing area. Area E contains 25 storage buildings and approximately 9 support buildings. Only 5 build- ings were observed on photography of_ however, the area was partially obscured by' heavy clouds. All 34 buildings were present on. photography of The training area contains 17 range control/ support buildings. Winter training activity was observed on photo raphy of Tank/Assault-Gun Firing Ranges Area Ni is a 2,550-foot static firing range with 2 moving=target runs. Area N2 is a 2,850-foot static firing range with 4 moving-target runs. Area N3 is a 4,000-foot range with 3 firing lanes (each 2,350 =. feet long) and 33 moving- target runs. Area N4 is a 4,000-foot range with 3 firing lanes (each 2,350 feet long) and 5 moving- target runs. Area N5 is a 4,000-foot range with 3 firing lanes (each 2,350 feet long) and 3 moving- target runs. Area N6 is a 2,550-foot static firing range with 4 moving-target runs. Area N7 is a 2,550-foot static firing range with 6 moving-target runs.
