This memorandum is forwarded in answer to the above mentioned requirement, which requested an analysis and a comparative study of the Novokuybyshevsk refinery located near Kuybyshev, USSR. 2. Information, as requested, concerning this refinery, is as follows: a. Location - This refinery is located at Novo-Kuybyshevsk, approximately nautical miles west-southwest fran the city of Kuybyshev. The geographic coordinates of the approximate center of this site are 53 05 50N - 49 54 15E (See Figures 1 and 2). b. Areal Extent - The refinery area is basically rectangular in shape measuring approximately 6,600 feet by 11,000 feet and is oriented NNW/SSE. The Novo-kuybyshevsk refinery is served by road and rail, and probably by pipeline. Docking facilities are present on the Volga River near Kuybyshev. 5.
