1. This memorandum is in response to the above requflement requesting a
railroad study of the Communist China area covered by AM Map Sheets NJ51 and
NK51.
2. Rail facilities and rail served industries are identified on the
enclosed annotated overlays (CIA/PID/IB-P-l600/64 and P-1602/61.). All rail
lines, with their branch or spur lines, are plotted on the enclosed annotated
overlays (CIA/PID/IB-P-1599/61+ and P-1601/61+). Rail lines that are abandoned
or-under construction are also depicted. All rail line construction appears
to be inactive and!is annotated as abandoned construction.
3. Information for this study was obtained from the following missions:
