Pyatigorsk Army Barracks Southeast is lo- and 3 unidentified buildings (Figures 2 and 3?).
cated within Pvatigorsk, approximately 0.7 kil-
ometers (km) south-southwest of the western-
most road bridge over the Podkumok River (Fig-
ure 1).
This installation covers approximately 51
acres and contains 33 structures: I administra-
tion building, 1 multistory barracks, 4 probable
barracks, 2 storage buildings, 2 multistory sup- atn unidentified building, a tower, a batch plant,
port buildings, 4 other support buildings, 11 and 3 excavations were observed under construc-
quarters, 3 vehicle storage/maintenance sheds, tion.
DESCRIPTION OF I6NSIALLAYION
This installation has access to a double-
track railroad which passes through 1'vatigorsk
and extends north to Nlineralnove and %%est to
Yessentuki.
The installation is located within the city
limits and is adequately served by all-~~eather
roads.
Area D contains an administration building,
a multistory barracks, 4 probable barracks, 2
storage buildings, 2 multistory support build-
ings, 4 other support buildings, 11 quarters, 2
unidentified buildings, and I unidentified build-
ing which is secured by a fence.

A rail-served, secured l'UL storage area is
and cont6iins 4 large tanks, 4 medium tanks, 11
small tanks, and 16 support buildings. -
Area J contains 2 vehicle storage/mainte-
nance sheds measuring 20(1 by 30 feet and 70 by
40 feet, 1 L-shaped vehicle shed measuring 300
by 25 feet and 140 by 2S feet, and I unidentified
building.
Area K is an athletic field located in the
northeast corner of the installation.
Area 1 contains unidentified construction
activity. On photography of his area
contains a small building, a batch plant next to
a circular excavation, and a central mounded
area with 2 excavation.,. Construction continues
in this area.
