This report is one in a series on Soviet Ground Force and Logistic
installations being prepared for a PIA 'CIA Panel. The series is being
coordinated, published and disseminated by NPIC. The photographic
analysis is being performed by the NPIC Photographic Analysis Group,
the Cl:\ Photographic Intelligence Division i NPIC.), and the Production
Center 1Pla (l)I:~i. -1 he photographic analysis for this particular re-
port was performed by the Prouction Center 1P1a.
In the interest of uniformity, the titles and letter designators for
the facilities observed at these installations are identical with those
appearing in the project requirement. When a specific facility is.not
observed both its title and letter designator are omitted in.the report.
Titles and letter designators for the various facilities are as

Vilnyus Ammo Depot Soltaniszki is located 3).
2.5 kilometers (km) north of the center of Viln-,
yus (Figure 1). There are at least 9 other mil-
itary installations within Vilnyus complex.
This unsecured ammo storage depot covers
125 acres and contains 29 storage buildings and
at least 14 underground bunkers (Figures 2 and
25X1 D
The depot appears to have been served by a Area L contains approximately 9 .'single-
rail spur which is now abandoned. story general storage buildings and 20 small
unidentified buildings.
The depot has access to a primary road from
Vilnyus to L:kmerge and to secondary roads in the
area.
Area F contains at least 14 underground
bunkers with entrances on a road network running
through the hills.
The installation contains I administrative;
support building (D).
