Kuybyshev Airckaft Engine Plant Frunze No
24 's located on the eastern
edge of Kuybyshev and 2.1.nautical miles (nm)
southwest of Kuybyshev/Bezymyanka Airfield at
53-11-55N 50-16-15E (Figure 1). The plant is
served by rail spurs from the Moscow-Ryazan-
Omsk rail line and by a spur line from Kuybyshev
Airframe Plants No 1 and No 18. Item numbers
are keyed to Figure 4.
(Figure 2) the plant con-
tained approxim e y 2,748,250 square feet of
floorspace. A comparison of that photography
25X1 D with KEYHOLE photography of
25X1 D
(Figure 3) revealed that 558,750 square feet
floorspace had been added to the plant. By
the total floorspace in the plant, includ-
ing that provided by buildings under construction,
was approximately 3,307,000 square feet.

Since 5 buildings have been added to 25X1 D
the plant,aannFsome of the existing facilities
have been expanded. Buildings erected since
that time include a workshop (item 2), a fab-
rication/assembly building (item 3), an uniden-
tified building (item 4), and 2 warehouses (item
19). A total of 19,500 square feet of floorspace
has been added to 5 of the double engine test
cells (item 7), each of which was extended from
180b to 230 feet in length, and 6,400 square feet
of floorspace has been added to a forge/foundry
E(item 17).

unidentified building (item 4), and the test cells
(item 7) were in early stages of construction.
The fabrication/assembly building is located on
the site of what may have been a vertical test
stand for rocket, engines. 1/ Construction on the
