This report is ode in a series on Soviet Ground Force and Logistic
installations "being prepared for a DIA/CIA Panel. The series is being
coordinated, published and disseminated by NPIC. TG~ photographic
analysis is being, performed by the NPIC Photographic Analysis Group,
the CIA Photographic Intelligence Division (NPIC), and the Production
Center 1Pla (DlA). The. photographic analysis for this particular re-
port was performed by the Production Center 1Pla.
In the interest of uniformity, the titles and letter designators for
the facilities observed at these installations are identical with those
appearing in the project requirement. When a specific facility is rLot
observed both its title and letter designator are omitted in the report.
Titles and letter designators for the various facilities are as

Kardla Army Barracks Southwest (Coord-
inates: 58-,59-32N '022-43-20E;

25X1 A is located at the
southwestern edge of Kardla (Figure 1). The
barracks installation covers approximately 55
acres and contains 2 administration buildings,
2 barracks, 5 storage buildings, 6 probable ve-
hicle storage buildings, a probable.vehicle main-
tenance building, and 3 support buildings (Fig-
ures 2 and 3).
Kardla Army Barracks East (Coordinates:

is -located in the eastern
part of Kardla: The barracks installation cov-
ers approximately 7 acres and contains an ad-
ministration building, a barracks/administra-
tion building, 3 barracks, and 2 support buildings.

Good all-weather roads serve both barracks
installations.
Kardla Armv Barracks Southwest contains
2 administration buildings and 2 multistory bar-
racks (Area D1).
Kardla Army Barracks East contains a
multistory administration building, a multistory
barracks /administration building, and 3 multi-
story barracks (Area D2).
Kardla Army Barracks Southwest contains
5 storage buildings (Area E).
Kardla Armv Barracks East contains 2 sup-
port buildings (Area H).
Kardla Army Barracks Southwest contains
6 probable vehicle storage buildings (two 200
x 40 feet, one 250 by 40 feet, 'one 175 by -40
feet, and two 190 by 35 feet), a probible ve-
hicle maintenance building (90 by 40 feet)., and
3 support buildings (Area J).
