This, report is -one in a series on Soviet Ground Force and Logistic
installations beinfi prepared for a DIA/CIA Panel. The series is being
coordinated, published and disseminated by NPIC. The photographic
analysis is being performed by the NPIC Photographic Analysis Group,
the CIA Photographic Intelligence Division (NPIC), and the Production
Center lPla (DIA). The photographic analysis for this particular re-
port was performed by the NPIC Photographic Analysis Group.
In the interest of uniforn~kity, the titles and letter designators foi-
the facilities observed at these installations arc identical with those
appearing in the project requirement. When a specific facility is not
observed both its title and letter designator are omitted in the report.

SUMMARY
Dnepr Railroad
This installation covers approximately 44
acres and contains 2 barracks/administration'
builcj4.ngs, 3 probable barracks, 12 support
buildings, 2 motor pools, a vehicle shed, a small-
arms firing range, and an athletic field (Fig-
kilometers (km) east of the
Bridge (Figure 1).
Zaporozhye Barracks Dnepr Bridge is lo-
cated on the western edge of Zaporozhye, 1.1
Administration and Troop 1Jousing Area
Area D contains 2 U-shaped multistory
barracks/administration buildings, 3 probable
barracks, and 12 support buildings. One U-
shaped barracks/administration building was
25X1 D constructed between
POL Storage Areas
Three POL storage areas are located within
12 km of the barracks installation: /aporozhye
Petroleum Storage North (BL No
located 7 km north-northeast, contains 20 large
vertical tanks and 2 medium vertical tanks;
Zaporozhye Petroleum Storage Northeast (131. No
25X1A , located 8.8 km northeast, contains
at least 8 vertical medium, probably semi-
buried tanks; Zaporozhye Petroleum Products
Storage East UG BE No located
11.8 km east, ctntains 8 medium, at least 2()
ures 2 and 3).
The area was covered on TALENT photog-
raphy issions be-
tween . Compara
tive analysis reveals moderate activity during
this period. One multistory U-shaped barracks/
administration building was added between _
small, and 2 medium earth-covered vertical
tanks.
Equipment Storage/Maintenance Areas
Area J1 contains a vehicle shed (340 by
35 feet) and a motor pool (345 by 165 feet).
Area J2 contains a motor pool (240 by 100
feet).
Numerous vehicles/pieces of equipment are
observed in the motor pools on photography of
25X1 D
Athletic-Field.
An athletic field (K) is located in tht south-
eastern part of the installation'.
-Small-Arms Firin:--Range
Area L is a small-arms firing range, 240
feet long end 45 feet wide. The range is revetted
on 3 sides. No activity was observed on winter
coverage.
