SUBJECT: Gorkiy Arms Plant No. 92 and Heavy Equipment Plant
Krasnoye Sormovo No. 112, Gorkiy, USSR
REFERENCE: Requirement No. C-RR5-82,347, NPIC Project No. 11213-5
1. In response to referenced requirement, a photographic search was
conducted from of Gorkiy Arms Plant No. 92
and Heavy Equipment Plant Krasnoye Sormovo No. 112. No vehicles were
discernible at either plant, however further study revealed approximately
150 possible vehicles at the Gorkiy Motor Vehicle, Plant Molotov No. 1,
located 4.5 rim South of Gorkiy Arms Plant No. 92. No identification of
vehicles could be made due to obliquity.
2. There is no evidence that the walled oval track located 1 nm NE
of the Gorkiy Motor Vehicle Plant Molotov #1 is being used as a possible
proving ground. No military vehicles or equipment were observed at the
track. There is no evidence of any track activity, firing ranges or targets
within the immediate area.

SUBJECT "BEANIE" Mensuration, USSR
REFEdCE Requirement No. C-RR5-82,1+00 (Project No.
301+67-5)
1. In response to Requirement No. C-RR5-82,1+00 (3o467-5), a study was
made to determine the dimensional data of the "BEANIE" aerodynamic vehicle
from the ground photographs submitted with the requirement.
3. This aerodynamic vehicle, although canvas covered, appears to
have delta shaped wings and dimensions which would generally fit it into
the FISHBED category of aircraft. It appears to be too large to fit into
either the cruise missile or air-to-surface-missile category. Assuming
that the "BEANIE" is a member of the FISHBED family, and not a new and
previously unknown vehicle, there are a few parameters that allow us to
speculate as to the type of D1IG-21 this might be. The apparent single
angle sweepback on the vertical stabilizer on this vehicle is similar to
that observed on the FISHBED "D" and "E" models as-opposed to the double
angle sweepback on the "C" model; the inlet diameter of approximately
of the VIIP- 29.3 feet back from the nose as opposed to approximately
on the "C" and "E" models all lead to the possibility that this is

4. All measurements have been made by the TTPIC Technical Intelligence
Division and are considered to be accurate within plus or minus 15%.
Greater accuracy could not be obtained due to extremely poor photo geometry,
extremely poor photo imagery and the absence of known camera data.
5. Returned to the requestor are six 5 x 7 inch photographs (CIA 1036419
thru 1036424).
7. This memo completes the referenced requirement.
ENCLOSURES RETURNED:
Six 5 x 7 inch photographs
