The 'site was again covered in - but because of clouds and haze a de- tailed interpretation could not be made. The site was last covered in early in snow cover and no changes were apparent. The snow precluded deter- mination of objects in the launch positions, or associated clearings. The site (Figure 2) is situated on an irregular road pattern which branches off from the local road pattern. The 4 launch positions form a trapezoidal pattern and are separated into 2 pairs of launch positions, 690 and 780 feet apart. The launch positions are irregular in , shape but each has a small, circular area in the center approximately 60 feet in diameter. The azimuth of the launch positions is approxi- mately 235 degrees, which closely approximates the azimuths of Launch Areas No.1 and 2, which are = and 230 degrees, respectively. Two small possible structures, approximately 40 by 20 and- 30 by 20 feet, are located in a clearing 1,025 feet northwest of the center of the site. A series of clearings is located along a- road 4,160 feet southeast of the site and is directly connected to the site. Several unidentified ob- ? The Jonava Fixed Field MRBM Site (Figure -1) is located in a sloping, heavily wooded area at an approximate elevation of 265 feet, 7.7 nautical miles (nm) north of Kaisiadorys in the Lithuanian SSR. Jonava NIRBNI Launch Area No 1 is 13.4 nm to the west-southwest and Launch Area No 2 is 8.7 'nm to the west-northwest. The rail yards at Kaunas, Jonava, or Kaisia- dorys could serve as rail-to-road transfer points for the complex. Launch Areas No 1 and 2 and the field site are connected to each other and to these points by primary and secondary, probably all-weather roads.
