.This report is one in a series on Soviet Ground Force and Logistic
installations being, prepared for a~DL\!C L\ Panel. The series is being
coordinated, published and disseminated by EPIC. The photographic
analysis is being p~rform~d b}? the \PIC Photographic Analysis Group,
the CI:\ Photog,raphic Intelligence Division (\PIC1, and_ the Production
Center 1Pla (DI:\). The photographic analysis for this particular re-
port was performed by the Production Center 1Pla.
In the interest of uniformit}~, the titles and letter designators for
the facilities observed at these installations are identical with those
appearing, in the project requirement. \'l'hen a specific facility is not
observed both its title and letter designator are omitted in the report.

An ammunition storage facility is located
4 kilometers (km) senth-southwest of-Jelgava
(Figure 1) and 6 km south of Jelgava airfield.
This ammunition storage facility covers
approximately 3 acres and contains -1 multi-
story barracks /administration buildings, .3 sup-
port buildings, and 9 underground storage bunk-
ers (Figures 2 and 3).

Comparative analysis reveals that all
of the buildings and 4 of the bunkers were
constructed between
DESCRIPTION OF INSTALLATION
The main rail line from Jelgava passes
200 meters east of the storage facility.
The storage facility is served by a high-
way and a good internal road network.
Aircraft Landing Strip
Jelgava Airfield is 6 km north.
Area D contains 4 multistory barracks/
administration buildings and 3 support build-
ings .
Area F contains 9 underground storage
bunkers.
