1. Th s memorandum is in response to the above referenced requirement
concerning Moscow Airframe Plant Fili No. 23. The purpose of the project
is to determine the status of two areas cited as "construction activity"
in report number CIA/PIR-42/64.
2. In the large area adjacent to building number 12 (CIA/PIR-42/64),
a large probable machine shop/workshop has been erected. This building,
measuring 610 x 260 with an estimated height of 50 feet,is now in the
final stages of construction. Ground scarring- for this building was first
evident on Activity in the second
area can not be determined at this time because of the poor quality of
the photography over this portion of the plant. Photo raphy used for this
