1. TARGET IDENTIFICATION:

2. LOCATION:
Fu Shan POL storage is located approximately 28 nautical miles ENE of Fu Shan
and is sited in a small valley about 1 nautical mile south of the Hun Ho Rivera
Ta-h!uo Fang resevoir is 3 nautical miles to the west of the storage area. This
facility is primarily rail served being connected by a spur track to.a main line
railroad leading to Shen Yang and Fu Shun.
3. CONSTRUCTION CHRONOLOGY,

25X1 D a. This coverage provided pre-construction photography at the
Fu Shan Storage facility, to significant activity was observed.
25X1D b. This coverage established the fact that construction had begun.
Obliquity derogated the target covers a of this missions however, no other suitable
cover of this area was flown during A possible work camp had been established
at the mouth of the valley leading o e storage site. Details of POL facility
construction were not visible due to obliquity.

e. This coverage revealed that twelve (12) POL storage tanks
had been built or were nearing completion by 25X1D
125X1D d. Fourteen (14) POL storage tanks were completed or were nearing
completion at the time of this mission. Two (2) additional tanks were in the beginning
stages of construction. Twelve (12) possible storage buildings were added to the
construction facility at the mouth of the valley.
25X1D e. This represents the latest coverage of-this facility.
Nineteen (19) F storage tanks are completed or nearing completion e Additionally,
113) thirteen small POL storage tanks have been installed. The total number of
possible storage buildings in the construction camp has been increased to twenty-
seven (27).

Storage facilities consist of f 15) earth mounded POL tanks,

in diameters 4 unfinished POL tanks in diameter and 13 above ground cylindrical
POL tanks 40 feet in diameter. Support facilities include 14 buildings, ? spur track
will serve this storage complex when it is completed, although no rails appear to
have been laid upon the road grade leading to the storage area. The probable con-
struction support camp at the mouth of the valley has no permanent characteristics
!andwill probably be dismantled upon completion of the FOL storage facility.

NOTES The topography of the target area is generally mountainous,, with elevations
up to 4&000 feet MS!., which causes this area to have a high incidence of
cloud cover# and greater snow fall, because of this chronological gaps in
the photographic coverage has resulted or in some cases the interpretability
of the photography derogated to varying degrees.
