INTRODUCTION
this report is one of a series describing
Chinese Communist shipyards and ports as
observed on aerial photography.
Kuang-chou Shipyard Tung-lang (BE
is located in Kuang-chou, China,
on the Chu Chiang (River) at 23-04-2,5N 113-
15-00E .(Figure 1).
DESCRIPTION
The shipyard facilities (Figure 2) consist
of 2 building ways, 2 graving docks, 5 marine.,

railways, a fitting-out quay, 2 steamplants, a
probable foundry, and 4 craneways (one under
construction. and one being extended). Handling
equipment includes 3 tower jib cranes, 2 bridge
cranes and 5 mobile jib cranes. The shipyard
is partially secured by. a wall. Vessels observed
are listed in Table 1.
Changes between
Q indicate extensive modernization an main-
tenance of the facilities. A fabz ication building
and 6 other buildings have been razed.
