This report is one in a series on Soviet Ground Force and Logistic
installations being prepared for a DIA/CIA Panel. The series is being
coordiiiated, published and disseminated by NPIC. The: photographic
analysis is being performed by the NPIC Photographic Analysis Group,
the CIA Photographic Intelligence Division (NPIC), and the Production
Center 1Pla (DIA). The photographic analysis for this particular re-
port was performed by the NPIC Photographic Analysis Group-,
In the interest of uniformity, the titles and letter designators for
the facilities. observed at these installations are identical with those
appearing in the project requirement. When a specific facility is not
observed both its title and. letter designator are omitted in the report.
Titles and letter designators for the various facilities are as
follows: (A) railroad service, (B) road service, (C) landing strips,
(D):,administrative and?troop housing areas, (E) storage areas, (F) an-i-
munition storage areas, (G)'POL storage "areas, (H) other buildings and
facilities, (J) equipment storage/maintenance areas, (K) athletic fields,

The Bryansk Air Defense Headquarters and
Army Barracks Southwest is located in the south-
western part of Bryansk (Figure 1). This
installation is listed on the Series 200 map
as Bryansk Army Barracks Southwest and on
the Series 25 map as Bryansk Ordnance Depot
West.
The, installation covers approximately 25
acres and contains an administration building,
3 probable storage buildings, 3 vehicle sheds,
8 support buildings, and an athletic field (Fig-
ures 2'and 3). -

ings and 6 support buildings.
POL Storage Areas
Bryansk Petroleum Storage No 1, at 53-16N
034-23E, contains .,pproximately 4 large. POL
tanks and 13 small tanks.
Bryansk Petroleum Storage No 2, at 53-13N
034-27E, contains approximately 28 large, 13
medium, and 4 small POI- storage tanks.
Equipment Storage/ Maintenance Area
Area J contains 3 vehicle sheds, each
300 by 35 feet, and a support building. Four
possible vehicles are in this area on photo-
graphy of
Area K is an athletic field.
