The Kazan Army Barracks Gorki is located
.approximately 6 kilometers (km) southeast of the
center of Kazan (Figure 1). A second military
-- installation, a barracks and motor vehicle/
-, ;~guipment storage and maintenance area, is lo-
cafed~-1.5 km south. Located 5 km south of the
Kazan.\A~my Barracks Gorki are the Kazan Army
"Barracks Southeast and the Kazan Army Training
Center Southeast.
The Kazan Arm~l-Barracks~Gorki contains
12 multistory barracks, 3~administration build=
ings and 24 other. buildings. The only training
facility within the barracks area is a possible
athletic field. The military barracks and vehicle
storage area contains 3 barracks, 15 dependents-
rype quarters, 14 motor vehicle storage build-
ings, 4 administration buildings, and 23 other
buildings (Figures 2 and 3).

DESCRIPTION OF INSTALLATION
Area D2 contains 15 dependents-type quar-
ters, 3 barracks, 1 adminis "oration building, and
2 support buildings. ,"
Equipment Storage/Maintenance Area
Area J contains 14 vehicle storage sheds
(one 200 by ~~ feet, one 180 by 50 feet, two 180
by 40 feet, one 165 by 50 feet, two 165 by 40 feet,
t~vo 150 by 40 feet, three 140 by 50 feet, one 120
by 50 feet, -and one 120 by 40 feet), 3 multistory
administration buildings, 12 storage buildings,
and 9 miscellaneous support buildings.
Athletic Field
Area "K is a possible athletic field.

northwest.
Good secondary roads serve the installation.
Kazan Airfield is 4 km northeast.
Administrative and Troop Housing Areas
Area D1 contains 10 multistory barracks (1
