presents information on Launch Area F at the
Kozelsk ICBM Complex (Figure 1). The launch
area consists of a completed Type 111B launch
site and a site support facility situated in a
wooded area 17 nautical miles (nm) south-south-
west of the complex support facility (Figures 2
and 3). The first evidence of construction was
and the area
can be negated on photograph
complete
The launch site contains the characteristic
loop road, 3 launch silos, a control bunker, and
an electronic facility. There is a paved access
from the loop road to the east side of each of
? the launch silos. The silo doors are square and
appear to be domed. The electronic facility con-
sists of 2 ground scars which bisect at a QO-de-
gree angle within the loop road to form a plus-
shaped pattern with segments approximately

1,250 feet long.. small silo-like structure is lo-
cated at the extremity of each ground scar. Four
probable antenna silos -- similar to, but smaller
than, the launch silos -- form a rectangular pat-
tern at the intersection of the ground scars, 1 in
each quadrant of the plus configuration. Two ad-
ditional antenna-type silos are located approxi-
mately 100 feet west of the intersection.
The site support facility consists of an ad-
ministration and housing section and a construc-
tion support section. The administration and
housing section south of the launch site contains
34 buildings, including a long narrow building in
the 'wooded area east of the housing section.
Eleven of these buildings are barracks-type. and
the remainder are administration/storage -type
buildings. .\n unidentified earth-naoun ded struc-
ture is approximately 500 feet west of the admin-
istration and housing section. The construction
support section is located about 2,500 feet south-
east of the administration and housing section.
It contains 7 large and 6 small buildings and a
vehicle, equipment park: 2 large buildings have
been removed from the section recently.
