Control System Only 25X1A A military installation is located in. the northern part of Kerki (F.igure 1). Kerki Army Barracks is reported to be approximately I kilometer (km)southeast, but positive identification of this second instal- lation cannot be made from available photog- raphy. The installation covers approximately 80 acres and contains 9 probable barracks, 23 probable quarters, 7 probable administration buildings, 2 probable storage buildings, an open storage area, 59 storage/support buildings, 6 probable vehicle storage/maintenance buildings, and an athletic field (Figures 2, 3,. and 4). Five military training areas consisting ofa tank assault-gun firing range, 3 flat-trajectory firing ranges, and a probable tracked-vehicle driver-training range are located approximately .4 to 6 km southwest of Kerki. These areas appear to be moderately active on 25X1 D photography. The area is covered onIKEYHOLE mis- sions of interpretablequalitybetween Comparative analysis re- veals probable increased activity. DESCRIPTION OF INSTALLATION Other Buildings The nearest rail facility is 5 km northeast Numerous small support sheds are located of Kerki. - throughout the installation.. Urban streets serve the-area. A sod landing area is 5 km south of Kerki. Area D1 contains 16 probable quarters, 1 probable - administration building, and 17 storage/support buildings. Area D2 contains 9 probable barracks, 7 probable quarters, 3 probable administration buildings, 9 storage/support buildings, and an athletic field with bleachers. - Area E, probably for vehicle maintenance, contains 2 probable storage buildings, 6 stor- age/support buildings, and an open storage area. Area J contains I U-shaped probable ve- hicle storage/maintenance building (750 by .-10 feet), 4 probable vehicle storage/maintenance sheds, (350 by 40 -_ feet, 420 by 35 feet, 600 by 40 feet, and 510 by 40 feet), I L-shape.d,- probable vehicle storage/maintenance building (400 by 40 feet), 1 large C-shaped, probable .administration building, 2 small probable ad- ministration buildings, and 27 storage/support buildings. Three control/support buildings a adjacent. Tank/Assau"lt-Gun Firing Range A 2,800-foot tank,'assault-gun firing range (N) and 5 range control/support buildings are 6 km southwest of Kerki. The range contains two 1,700-foot lanes and 3 probable moving targets. 25X1 D - PHOTOGRAPHV A 1.200-foot flat-trajectory firing range (P I) and 9 support buildings are 5 knm southwest of Kerki and immediately north of the tank/ assault-gun range. The range contains 3 prob- able moving targets.
