SUMMARY Pechenga Army Barracks Kaakkiri Lake is located approximately .6 kilometers . (km)'\ southeast of' Pechenga, in highly glaciated, rocky and barren terrain (Figure 1). The faci ty is partially fenced, covers approximately 276 acres, and consists of an administration/troop housing area with 2 administration/barracks buildings, 24 barracks, 14.>; support structures, and 17, dwellings; 'a storage area with 25 warehouses and' 23support buildings; an equipment/storage/maintenance area. with 15 vehicle storage/maintenance build- ings, 11 support structures, and a flat-trajectory firing range with 2 possible moving-target rails and 6 support buildings (Figures 2 and 3). The I area is covered on. ? KEYHOLE missions of fair quality photography between Comparative analysis reveals no apparent change in facilities and a constant level of activity. r DESCRIPTION OF INSTALLATION The Pechenga-Murmansk - rail located 6,-km west. A'road connects the installation to Pechenga. Aircraft Landing Strip - . Pechenga airfield southwest. " Area D1 contains 2 multistory adminis- tratioh buildings/barracks, 24 barracks, and 8 support buildings. . Area D2. is a. housing area containing 17 dwellings and 6 support buildings. Area E2 contains 5 general Area E4 contains 10 genera storage' ings and'6support buildings. Equipment Storage/Maintenance Areas Area J1 :contains 3 vehicle storage/main- renance buildings and 2 support buildings. Area J2 contains 12 vehicle storage/main-. tenance buildings and 9 support buildings. Approximately 60 unidentified pieces of equipment and vehicles were observed in Areas ' J1 and J2 on- coverage.
