Tashkent Airframe Plants No. 84+A and 84B were first covered by photography

25X1 D additions to Plant 814B totaling floorspace. The auditions
to Plant 84+B include a workshop (Item 13, Table 2, Figure 2), subassembly build-
ingl(Item 14), and a storage building (Item 15). These additions, when completed,
will bring the total floorspace of Plant 84D to square feet.

25X1D The facilities for Tashkent Airframe Plant 84A and 84B were moKed from
2X1 D Moscow - where they were reconstructed in the two-locations between. then
Tables 1 and 2 contain the description and dimensions of all major build-
ings comprising Tashkent Airframe Plant Chkalov No. 84A and 84B. All measure-
ments have been made by the NPIC Technical Intelligence Division, with the
exception of the height of those buildings marked with an asterisk. Those
measurements were made by the CIA/IAD project analyst. They should be considered
as approximate and must be taken as official NPIC mensuration data.. The NPIC/TID
measurements are considered to be accurate within (horizontal)? 5 feet or t 5 per-
cent,(vertical) t 10 feet or ? 10 percent, whichever is greater.
The two plants 84A and 84B contain approximately 4,600 and 16,500 feet of
hard-surfaced roads probably concrete with an average width of 20 feet. The
plants are encompassed by a probable masonary fence totaling approximately
5,700 and 21,000 feet, respectively (Figure 1 and 2). A probable wire fence total-
ing approximately 30,000 feet encompasses the new flyaway airfield. Plant 84B
and the new airfield area are served by approximately 24,000 linear feet of rail
-spurs.
The new 8,285 x 230 feet concrete runway located 2.5 nm east of plant 84B
serves as a test and flyaway aifrield for the plant. This airfield was completed

length, and is now a 3,000 x 210 feet concrete runway. There are approximately
1,894,650 square feet of concrete taxiways.and parking aprons for the pla.nt-ead
airfields.
