This brief provides information regarding antenna configurations at Cuatro
Caminos High Frequency (HF) Communications Facility (Cuatro Caminos Radio Station).
As of July 1969, coverage of the facility affords an opportunity to furnish infor-
mation not previously available.
Cuatro Caminos HF Communications Facility is located approximately 10
nautical miles (nm) south-southeast of Havana, Cuba. It is situated in a lightly
cultivated area 250 feet above sea level.
The facility is fenced and contains 27 antennas--24 fishbone, two quadrant
(vee), and one horizontal dipole--positioned around a control building and three
support buildings. The July 1969 photography shows some of the antennas still
under construction. Power is probably supplied from outside the facility, although
no powertrace can be identified.
The configuration of antennas and details of buildings in this facility
are shown on Figure I. Characteristics of the antennas are given in Table 1.
