Under letter dated 24 February 156 the originating agency of
GENETRI7 (C) materials has set the following policies with regard
to handling and dissemination of the materials or information there
from.
1. "Dissemination should be made to only those cleared personnel
for whom there ha been duly established a req' irement for
a 'need-to.havel in performance of their duties."
2. elease of inforration or materials relating to Project
071ETRIX (C) to foreign agencies will be only with express
permission of the Director of Intelligence, Aq., USAF.

States Agencies only with express permission of the '

4. "To the maximum extent possible, consistent with utility,
intelligence items and materials produced from Project (C)
GENETRIX will be sanitized so as not to reveal source.

Consistent with this policy, material is being handled in CIA
on a strict need.to.know basis with due protection of source. In
tbov release of information no mention should be made of photography.

PHOTOGRAPHIC INTELLIGENCE MENDRANDUM
GENETRIX PHOTOGRAPHY
This memorandum summarizes aerial photograph's coverage as a result of
Project OENETRIX. It is intended to acquaint CIA personnel, on a need.to-know
basis, of the extent of the coverage and to serve as a guide for requirements
which CIA components may to levy on the Photographic Intelligence Division,
Office of Research and Reports.
The memorandum consists of two parts:
1. A list of localities, arranged by Mission Numbers and countries,
summarized from initial reports received. These represent selections maue
in the field of noteworthy localities along the flight strips of photography
made good and were not intended to meet all requirements. For those listed
localities marked by an asterisk, photographs are at hand in RR/GP; for those
not so marked, photographs will be received shortly.
2. An overlay to The National Geographic Society Map, "Asia and Adjacent
Area", Scale: 1:15,000,000, March 1951, This overlay indicates photography
made good, by mission numbers. Photography (contact prints) already at hand
are indicated, others are being received, and the remainder are subject to
order on a priority basis. In addition to the contact prints, work-copies of
stapled mosaics of the photography made good reduced one-third from the
