Control PWTOGRAPHIC INTELLIGENCE MEMORANDUM CHINESE CONNUNIST ARTILLERY PARKS NEAR YtUNG-CHUN GP/I - 183 16 May 1956 CENTRAL INTELLIGENCE AGENCY Office of Research and Reports Declass Review by NIMA / DoD Approved For Release 2001/05/17 DATE: i.P-000200580003-1 Approved For Release 2001/05/17 : CIA-RDP78TO5694A000200580003-1 SEmCRET NOFORN Continued Control PHOTOGRAPHIC INTELLIGENCE MEMORANDUM CHINESE' COMMUNIST ARTILLERY PARKS NEAR YUNG-CHUN A total of 56 artillery pieces and 175 trucks have been located in the Yung-churl area (25?2U9N - 1113?i51E) on aerial photo coverage of The artillery pieces were located in artillery parks situated along the roads leading south and east out of Yung-chun (see map), In each case the artillery pieces were situated approximately 1 feet behind their prime movers in towing position with trails folded, Areas (a)9 (b)q (d) and (e) - (see map) - were cleared and graded. In area (c) the prime movers and artillery pieces were dispersed in an open field. Area (e) contained four buildings 150 by 35 feet each. These are probably shop buildings for the artillery units in this area. There were indications that the troops in the Yung-chun area have taken over some of the civilian buildings situated near the artillery parks. In area (F) there were 11 possible Soviet M-13 (132 mm) rocket launchers and 16 trucks. The possible rocket launchers were dispersed in a manner similar to the prime movers and artillery pieces, Yung-shun is approximately 120 miles from Fuchou by first class road.
