TITLE/SIGNIFICANCE: Mobile comsat units may be seen in garrison or in transit, as well
as field deployed.
COMMENT: The appearance of mobile comsat units with a field deployed mobile SS-X-16
unit as an alternative communications system is considered to be a possibility. Note
the mobile comsat dishes are mounted on gun carriages. (See P.I. Notice No. 23-74
for a field deployed unit)
