TITLE/SIGNIFICANCE:
YEN TAI A RADAR IN TRAVEL MODE
COMMENT: The YEN TAI A is a truck-mounted acquisition radar for the Chinese land based
STYX (CSSC-2) Cruise Missile System. In the operational mode (Item A) the cut
parabolic antenna is seen mounted on a pedestal between the cab and the van body.
Item B shows the antenna in a partially raised position. Item C shows the antenna
canvas-covered in travel mode, with the antenna folded forward and each antenna tip
folded down alongside the vehicle.
