New FISHBED Type Shipping Container
COMMENT: Some MIG-21 aircraft, pro uce at GORKIY A
irframe ant 21, are being crated
in a new type shipping container. The container i
s rectangular with a slightly
rounded roof. A large box-like protrusion on the
front of the crate has a smaller
protrusion on it. This small protrusion probably
houses the pitot boom of the FISHBED.
Plant 21 is the production plant for the "L" model
MIG-21. This new crate may be seen
in countries receiving Soviet military aid.
