COMMENT: The function of the Soviet ECM (Air Defense) Battalion is to jam airborne
communications, bomb/navigation radars, and short range navigation systems. The equip-
ment identified on this photo represents the major elements of the battalion. Signature
vehicles are: 18 TUB BRICK, 6 KING PIN, 12 ECM associated trailers (prob jammers), and 6
R-834. Reference IEG PI Notice No. 26-76 for information on ECM (COMJAM)BNs.
