Variation of Soviet Grain Storage Bunkers

COMMENT: Two.new grain storage bunkers have been identified in Leningrad Oblast which
differ somewhat from the bunkers described in IEG PI Notice 38-76. The primary difference
is that the type of truck transfer facility seen at most grain storage bunkers is not
present at the two newly identified bunkers. Instead, there are two long buildings
paralleling the grain bunker which probably house truck dumping equipment. A drive-in
entrance and rail transfer facility characteristic of other grain storage bunkers are
present. The newly identified storage bunkers are not collocated with aboveground grain
storage facilities, as is the case of all but two of the 36 previously identified grain
storage bunkers.
