TITLE/SIGNIFICANCE:
Recognition features of the DDA-53C Decontamination Truck (GAZ-66)
coMMENr:The DDA-53C consists of the standard DDA shower units mounted on a GAZ-66
truck chassis. The twin chambers, a key recognition feature on the DDA-53A, are not
as prominent on the DDA-53C. The key P.I. feature for the DDA-53C is the raised
water heating apparatus located between the truck cab and the twin chambers. This
area is very prominent on the DDA-53C and is usually canvas covered. There is also a
small space between the cab and the water heatin a aratus.
