TITLE/SIGNIFICANCE: Reverse "h"-shaped revetments associated with SCALEBOARD (SS-12)
COMMENT: Unique, reverse "h"-shaped revetments have been constructed recently at Sary
Ozek and at Kupustin Yar. At Sary Ozek, on two of these revetments con25X1
tained SCALEBOARD TEL, each with its URAL375 support van in the characteristic rignt-
front launch sequence position. SCALEBOARDis not normally revetted for firing. Other
sightings of the "h" revetments should be reported to the WPFD TAC SSM project officer,
R. Betz. The erected missiles at Sary Ozek had modified airframes and a white
area below the nosecone (see reverse).
