REFERENCE: Memorandum for Special Support Assistant
to the Deputy Director (Support) from
Chief, Audit Staff, Subiect Audit RP

1. Paragraph 20 of subject rt was discussed in
detail with Messrs. Office of Logistics.
It was agreed that t ey would prepare an answer for the
Deputy Director, Office of Logistics, as requested by him.
This reply will be fully coordinated with this Office prior
to its release. The reply will include a statement with
regard to the recommendation made by the auditor relative
to proving the daily postings made to stock record cards
at the Station. The recommendation is under con-
sideration by headquarters, and TAS is presently engaged
in a study to determine the feasibility of employing elec-
trical accounting machines (posting machines) for the main-
tenance of stock record cards at locations wherein the
volume warrants this application.
