Subject: Ten Year Retirement Projection - Fiscal Year 1970 - 1979
1. The retirement projection prepared last /umm~er has just been
red to drop FY 1969 and pick up FY 1979 due to a request by ]tr.
25X1A9a for updating of the Yu-Graph briefing aids used by he and Mr.
a s.
2. Using Machine Run # 200 the figures in Tab A were determined
to be the and minlmen ranges for retirements in FY 1979 in the
CZAid)S and CSRDS. This represents the largest entry group so far found
for one year, except the beginning year which includes personnel who
could have opted out prior to the study date but baven/t yet.
3. Going to the reports of actual and planned retirements produced
by the Retirement operations Drivision, the figure for FY 1969 we
established, by grade. We used actual retirements through the end of
April, and a projection of retirements according to that Retirement Branch
now has in the mill. These figures were than deducted from the base
for the FY 1969-1978 study and the 1979 figures added.. Adjustments
were then made on the basis of the working papers from the earlier study,
in order to present the full ten year package in five year increments.

will use an der strengths and percentage relationships to revise the
V-Graphs in several formats, all using this member base.
