These tests were administered to 100 consecutive applicants. Only 50 applicants were subjected to psychiatic interview. The abnormalities found in the Draw-a-picture test are a composite of the authors opinion, and that of others, and is there- fore not in the least standarize. The base line of normalcy is at all times the authors mecTicL, opinion. For working purposes the group has been divided into 3 groups: 1.- not recomended, 2.- recomended for state side duty only, and 3.--full approval. There was no specific correlation between picture deviations and rejecties however, the general correlation in this series is much superior to the other test attempted. In group 1 there were 4+9% abnormal drawings. Group 2 had 31% abnormal response. In group 3 there were no abnormal drawings. In all of these groups the applicants frequently over estimated themselves on the other tests. Of the 22 applicants who drew abnormal pictures, 6 were in group 1 and 5 in group 2. The others were in the unclassified group. 1.) This test is not sufficiently standarized or investigated for routine use. 2.) This method of screening deserves farther study with at least 1-2 hundred applicants subjected to the test and psychiatic examination. 3.) The entire problem should be repeated by another investigation Approved For Release 2000/06/07 : CIA-RDP79-00434A000300060018-3
