Two items of a personal nature, one semi-official. First
of all, I have seen the film made by your son. He's got his
Dad's'talent and it looks to me as though his future may be as
productive and lustrous as your career has been.
Second, George Bush sent me a copy of the 21 September
letter you sent to Chairman Inouye about DIA and its problems.
It is a very fine letter, candid and constructive, and I com-
mend you as its author. May I also, both personally and
officially, offer you any and all assistance that can be given
to you and your colleagues to help you meet the problems you
describe.
