On 12 November 1976 Mr. James Angleton, former Chief, CI Staff, telephoned 4r. , Office of Security, to advise of the following developments which Angleton felt would be of interest to the Agency. 2. On the evening of 11 November 1976, Angleton received a telephone call from a Newsweek correspondent who stated he was calling on behalTof"Tony MORROW" (ph) . The correspondent was being prepared on the matter. 25X1A The correspondent inquired concerning the knowledgef Angleton regarding the above and was advised that he, Angleton, had no knowledge concerning the matter. 3. A short time later Angleton received a telephone call from an individual with the Saturday Review, also in- quiring about the above matter. Angleton stated that he told the caller that he was just leaving his residence and did not talk further with the caller. Angleton actually did leave his residence, returned home late and has not heard further from the Saturday Review caller. 4.
