1. The Director of Training has responded to the
request for his comment on ADMAG's suggested objective:
"Obtain college accreditation for Selected Agency
training courses by the end of fiscal year 1977." In
his memorandum he distinguishes between accreditation
of courses from an accrediting body and the crediting
of training courses by academic institutions on an
individual basis. While he believes pursuing the former
would be impractical and unnecessary, he endorses con-
tinuing the existing policy and procedures of OTR in
cooperating with students with respect to the latter.
Attached for your information is the Director of Training's
memorandum and policy statement.
2. I very much appreciate the time and efforts
expended by ADMAG in making this suggestion. Suggestions
for objectives will be welcome at any time.
