SIGNIFICANCE: TIIIS BRIEFING BOARD DEPICTS AN AREA THAT IS POSSIBLY UNDER DEVELOPMENT AS A NAVAL SUPPORT BASE FOR A PORTION OF THE GULF OF TONKIN. 2. LOCATION: THE AREA IS SITUATED AMONG STEEP KARST HILLS, FOUR NM EAST OF HON GAI AND 0.6 NM SOUTH OF HA TOU. 3. MISSION READOUT: REVEAL THE NORTHERN PORTION OF THE AREA TO CONTAIN AT LEAST NINE PROBABLE AMMUNITION STORAGE BUILDINGS DISPERSED ALONG A LOOP ROAD. A SLIT HAS BEEN DUO THROUGH A SMALL HILL NEAR THE CENTER OF THE AREA, FORMING A PROTECTED AREA FOR STORAGE OF SUPPLIES OR VEHICLES. A GOOD ROAD.
