1. SIGNIFICANCE:
THIS BRIEFING BOARD DEPICTS A NEWLY IDENTIFIED POL DRUM STORAGE
AREA AND NUMEROUS CARGO TRUCKS NEAR TUAN TUONG, NORTH VIETNAM.
2. LOCATION:
THE DRUM STORAGE IS LOCATED EIGHTEEN NM SOUTHEAST OF HA TINH,
o.6 NM SOUTHWEST OF TUAN TUONG, AND IMMEDIATELY SOUTH OF ROUTE 1A
AT 18-11-24N 106-09-30E (UTM XF225122). THE CARGO TRUCKS ARE
LOCATED NEARBY AT UTMS XF236126, XF242120, AND XF253119.
3. MISSION READOUT:
THIRTY-FIVE 55-GALLON TYPE POL DRUMS PLACED IN SHORT PROTECTIVE
TRENCHES ALONG A SECONDARY ROAD. THE ESTIMATED STORAGE CAPACITY
OF THE STORAGE AREA IS TWENTY-SEVEN METRIC TONS.
AT LEAST THIRTY-SEVEN CARGO TRUCKS (SEVEN NOT SHOWN ON GRAPHIC)
ARE OBSERVED NEARBY. THREE OF THESE TRUCKS ARE LOADED WITH POL DRUMS.
