SUBJECT: Request for Geographic Information from Other Agencies
1. This Office has urgent need for Geographic studies which have been
prepared by the Military Geographic Branch of the Corps of Army Engineers,
the Hydrographic Office of the Navy, and the Departments of Conmierce, State,
Agriculture, and. Interior. Although collated publications are desired we
are particularly interested in having access to unfinished work where it is
the best information available.
2. Information is needed on the following areas of the USSR:
a. Murmansk Oblast, especially Murmansk area, the western
boundaries with Finland and Norway and the Barents Sea Coast.
b. Karelo-Finnish SSR*
c. Primorski Krai (Maritime Province)
d. Chukotski National Okrug from 1800 eastward*
e. `Baltic coasts of Estonia, Latvia, Lithuania, and the
Kaliningrad Oblast*
f. Black Sea Coast of the USSR.

3. To be of value this material must be available prior to 1 March 1952.
