3? LEGISLATION Spoke with Ms. Nanette
Blandon, OMB, in response to Jinn. Oliver's, OMB, request for our views
and comments on the Richardson Task Force proposed "Foreign Payments
Disclosure .Act. " While noting that the proposed bill did not appear to
adversely affect the Agency, I pointed out three specific sentences in the
bill where a few additional words could be inserted in order to make even
clearer the intent behind the bill and to afford additional protection against
the Agency's being somehow covered by a strained reading of the language.
A formal views letter will be forwarded to OMB on this subject early next
week.
