At ADD/Its suggestion, I asked to arrange for the 25X1 A9a inclusion of from 0/RR,, and an appropriate representative for 0/SI to accompany the 0/CI people when they visit FI to review un- published reports. 2. 0/CI has again picked up the "rumor" that Admiral Overesch is returning some time in January, I checked this fully with - 25X1 A9a D Chief/FE who tells me that as yet nothing official has been received. However, he says that returning travellers all insist that the Admiral will visit here in January. I later saw who has just 25X1A9a returned from Tokyo, and he emphatically confirms the rumor and says that the Admiral undoubtedly will return. We should seek the official 25X1A9a word on this as soon as it is available as 0/CI is holding and 0/CD is holding up dissemination of NSC and other policy papers, both pending a discussion with Admiral Overesch here. 3. 0/SIrs 25X1A9a continues to use non-0/CI cable channels for discussion of Special Intelligence matters, notably 125X1A2g X1A9aralled this to the attention of and suggested that he inform 0/SI of 0/0I channels for the transmission of this type of message. 25X1A9a 4, Office of Training, discussed with me the proposal that individuals in the Agency be categorized according to their administrative and other technical jobs so that they may be followed by 25X1A9athe technical Office Career Boards. personally, and Matt Baird feels strongly that this is undesirable for the Office of Training and 25X1A9a suggests that we meet -vrith him prior to the taking of an official DD/I position -in dealing with or DD/A on this matter.25X1A9a 25X1A9a 5. Explained to the nature of the items submitted for DCI log and suggested that he use the 0/SI Official Diary for the type of item that he has-heretofore been reporting to us. 25X1A9a 6. 0/CI liaison, called and said that 0/xE was particularly anxious to get copies of certain NATO position papers from State Department prior to 15 December. This has been the subject off discussion between Mr, Becker and Park Armstrong, of State, the latter holding that State was un-willing to release such papers prior to their official adoption as policy.
