I indicated that this was perfectly satisfactory with us and that we would be prepared to talk with her in December. Phoned Colonel Zierath and informed him that I fully agree with his total revision of the PSB minute on social science research. I informed him that I would not approve any minute of this character which did not at least go as far as his redraft. 8. Discussed with General Samford and Mr. Hoover certain amend- ments to the summary evaluation paper resulting from the meeting with the NSC Steering Group. It was agreed that Mr. Hoover would have the paper redrafted and would deliver copy to General Samford, who would call together a meeting of the Senior Group, before the paper is finally delivered to General Smith. In the meantime, I shall revise the transmittal letter. 9.
