Mentioned at the Deputies' meeting that Henry Byroade of State would be receptive to an invitation to visit CIA. The Director indicated that Frank Wisner and I might well give him a luncheon and Frank 25X1A9a suggested that we add I undertook to make arrangements. 2. Later was informed by Ackerman that Gen. Samford, upon his return, had indicated a desire to sit on the senior committee. So advised of 0/NE, and also suggested that they get in touch directly with Col. Porter and a representative on the working level committee. 6. Upon receipt of instructions from DCI, cancelled a pro- jected meeting with Gen.
