1. Attended the Professional Selection Panel meeting at which dis-
cussion was continued on the revised'policy and procedure under which em-
ployees would be reviewed as to their suitability for the Career Staff at
the duration of the probationary period. Basically, the plan will provide
for recommendation by the supervisor and the Office Career Service Board to
be reviewed by an interviewing panel representing the CIA Professional Sel-
ection Board. The latter will be representative of the 5 major components
and will replace the present Professional Selection Panel. Under the new
arrangements, the Panel is no longer concerned with a review of individuals
