1. Discussed with the problem of additional space
for the JSCIB secretariat. was agreed that adequate space will
be provided as part of the major moves later this summer, but that
in the meantime - would have to take whatever temporary
measures were possible to provide minimum space behind the barrier.
2. Surveyed Barton Hall with 0/SI. The space
in general is somewhat superior to that presently available in M and
Q, and because of the smaller wings, may be more adaptable for the
housing of branches or small divisions. The State Department Trans-
lation Service, which is scheduled to remain in the building, is
located at one end and it is believed that a satisfactory barrier
could be readil established isolating that area.
